So, let's see, I think an update is in order.
I spent about a week with my Canadian sweetheart earlier this month, and once he moves to Ontario I'll be moving in with him. This will be either this coming January or sometime late in 2007.
A few days after he went back to Alberta, my best friend called me in a panic... the fabric she had ordered for a bridesmaid's dress from David's Bridal back in March *just* came in, but only 2/3 of it, and she had to leave for the wedding within three days. After making one very stupid mistake (not measuring her first) that cost me a day's work, I made the dress in one 26-hour marathon sewing session and got it to her with time to spare.
This week I've been getting a lot more culture than usual... went to see the Bolshoi at the Met on Tuesday, then to a play yesterday. Today was a little less posh, spent vacuuming out my car and re-arranging my sewing workshop. On Saturday I'll be off to the Northeast Maille Fest, and hopefully I'll take some decent pics while I'm there.
Two weeks (ish) of rest are coming my way, and then I fly out to Oregon to help a friend drive her stuff from there to Washington, DC. Cross-country road trip! Woo!
So this summer is one of the busiest I've had in a long time. I'm happy.
